英語ボックスアップデートニュース
過去に読んだ英文の累積語数がXPとして表示されるようになりました。
アップデートの詳細
例えば一つの長文が30個の単語でできているとします。これを読み終わると、この30個の単語の「30」という数字が経験値として得られます。また次に50個の単語から成る文章を読むと、50という数字が得られます。これは「XP」というものです。これを溜めていくと、過去に読んだ英文の単語数が何単語あるのかというデータが表示されます。
XPの利用方法
この値が大事という訳ではありませんが、英語学習をする際の一つの指標として使用できます。というのも「どれだけ英語に触れてるか」を数値化したものなので、読むほど、進行するほど増えるという性質があります。なので、もりもり読んでXPを増やす、一つの目標として頼りにできる数字であると思います。
XPの今後の展開
今後はXPの転用を検討しております。例えば、XPがいくらになると何かが得られるとか、溜まったXPを何かに転換するなど、ゲーミフィケーション要素として活用したいと思います。まずは今回のアップデートにより表示されるようになったXPを、ぜひ実際に確認してみてください。

English Box Update News
We have updated the English Box so that the cumulative English word counts you have read in the past are now displayed as XP (experience points).
Update Details
For example, let's say you have read a long text made up of 30 words. Once you finish reading it, these 30 words equate to 30 XP. Then, you read a text consisting of 50 words, and you will gain 50 XP. This is what we call XP, and as you accumulate it, it will display the total number of English words you have read in the past.
How to Use the XP
Although the value is not significantly important, it can be utilized as one of the indicators when learning English. This is because it numerically represents 'how much you have been exposed to English'. The more you read, the more XP you accrue. Therefore, we believe that amassing XP can be viewed as a reliable goal; the more voraciously you read, the more XP you gain.
Future Plans for XP
We are considering ways to apply XP in the future. For example, reaching a certain amount of XP may reward you with something, or your accumulated XP could potentially be converted into something else. We are keen to use this as an element of gamification. For now, please check out your XP that is now displayable thanks to this update.
